Vance
Street:
A
64,000 square foot multi purose recreation center, indoor pool
and youth water play park. Located on 20 acres with a multi-use
trail, a handicapped accessible fishing pier on a state
supported trout stream, softball field, sand pit volleyball court,
quarter mile paved running
track, two soccer fields and a picnic shelter.
Handicapped
accessible public restrooms are located there as well.
East
Street:
East
Street is a passive neighbohood park with a picnic shelter.
Hazelwood
Park:
Hazelwood
(beside Richland Creek) consists of a ball field, picnic shelter
and playground. The park also has public restrooms.
Recreation
Park:
Marshall
Street, consists of a multi-use trail, six tennis courts, two
softball fields, two outdoor basketball courts, two covered shelters
(must be reserved by calling (828)-456-2030). In addition,
the park has pinic tables and the Waynesville Kiwanis Community
Playground that is approved by the ADA. One note of interest
is that the playground was built in seven days by 1,700 volunteers.
The park has public restrooms.

Lane; this park is a passive landmark noted for the sulphur water
which was thought to have medicinal qualities.
